Padauk Wood Dining Tables

 
There are about 30 species of this Paduak genus, but the Burma Padauk and the African Paduak have a commanding presence in live edge slab tables markets.
Color/Appearance: The color of the heartwood varies depending on the species of woods. Burma Padauk covers a range from purple-red to orange-red and deep reddish-brown while the color of African Padauk will be yellow with subtle gray.
Grain/Texture: It can be straight or interlocked grain. The texture is described as fine moderate to oily coarse with a good natural luster.
Durability: Padauk has great strength and excellent durability against bending, cracking, rot, and decay. It is also resistant to termites and other insects.
